A Green Neighborhood

The U.S. Green Building Council has awarded the Grandview Yard development pre-certification as a LEED Neighborhood Development (LEED-ND) Plan, making it one of the first developments in the Midwest to become pre-certified as a LEED-ND Silver Plan community.

Development History

Nationwide Realty Investors and the City of Grandview Heights announced the redevelopment plans for the former Big Bear site in 2007. The first phase of Grandview Yard opened just three years after that announcement. To date, Nationwide Realty Investors has invested +$475 Million in Grandview Yard. By the time the development is complete, total investment in the Grandview Yard project will exceed $700 Million.

Since the opening of the first phase, more than $30 Million in real estate, income taxes and hotel taxes have been generated by the portion of Grandview Yard located in Grandview Heights. In 2017 alone, the development generated annual taxes of more than $10 Million. And by 2020, Grandview Yard should exceed $15 Million in annual taxes.
