Grandview Heights Planning Commission Approves Plans for Next Phase

COLUMBUS, Ohio, December 19, 2013––Columbus-based Nationwide Realty Investors (NRI) announced its’ plans today for the next phase of development at Grandview Yard. The Grandview Heights Planning Commission approved the plans, which call for a new office building, parking garage and restaurant. NRI President and COO Brian J. Ellis made the announcement.

“We are pleased to be moving forward with the next phase of Grandview Yard,” said Ellis.  “Our early successes and the strong market demand continue to drive our planning and development strategy for our office, residential, restaurant and retail uses.”
Included in this next phase of the project is a 75,000 square foot, three-story office building located at the corner of Goodale Blvd. and Yard Street. The multi-tenant, class-A building will be supported by a new two-story, 505 space parking deck. Also included in the plans is an 18,000 square foot Hofbrauhaus restaurant and German bier hall anticipated to open in fall 2014.

Hofbrauhaus Columbus will be modeled after the legendary 420 year-old Hofbrauhaus in Munich, Germany. The restaurant space will include a large Bier Hall for live entertainment, an Old World German style dining room, and an outdoor Bier Garden.

This announcement brings the total office space completed or underway at Grandview Yard to over 200,000 square feet. Grandview Yard is also home to the Hyatt Place hotel, LA Fitness, and Buckeye Hall of Fame Grill restaurant. A Giant Eagle grocery store is slated to open in summer 2014.
