NRI Announces Five-Story, 35-unit

The build-out of Grandview Yard continues, as does the addition of high-end condominiums to the Columbus market. Nationwide Realty Investors has announced plans to build a five-story, 35-unit condominium building at the northeast corner of Burr and Bobcat Avenues.

The units will all be two-bedroom flats and will range from 1,400 to 1,570 square feet. A single-level parking garage along the north side of the building will provide about 50 spaces for the project.

The new building, dubbed 828 at the Yard, could be completed as soon as next summer. That means it will be coming online shortly after the 21 single family homes and 23 for-sale townhomes that are part of the Homes on Pullman Way development (being built by Wagenbrenner Development in partnership with NRI).

“828 at the Yard is a distinct project but will be very much compatible with Pullman Way,” said  NRI President and COO Brian Ellis. “They have different attributes, but obviously there’s been a lot of interest in those homes, and this project will likely attract a mix of young professionals and empty nesters as well.”

“This was part of the (Grandview Yard) master plan all along, it’s just the right product for that location,” Ellis added, citing the new building’s proximity to the Yard Club — a new 13,000 square foot clubhouse and pool currently under construction — and the fact that it will front a small, already-completed park on Burr Avenue.

“We really feel like this will be a very successful project,” he said. “I just hope we can keep up with demand, because we think it’ll be very strong.”

Some of that demand may be coming from Nationwide Insurance employees, who this month will start moving into the first of two new office buildings at Grandview Yard. By the end of 2016, about 3,000 Nationwide employees will be working in the development.

Price points for the new units will start in the low 400′s, according to NRI.
