Donate Blood for the 2020 Blood Battle

Held every fall, The Blood Battle is an annual competition between The Ohio State University and the University of Michigan. It takes place between students from each university and determines who can collect the most blood to impact patient lives in the community. There are two upcoming blood drive locations within Grandview Yard you can participate in—one on Saturday, November 7 at Hofbräuhaus Columbus, and another from November 13-14 at Hyatt Place Columbus/OSU. No, you don’t have to be a Buckeye fan to donate.

Participate in the Blue Jackets Blood Drive

If you can’t make it to the Blood Battle, there’s another way to support the Columbus community. On Wednesday, November 18, the Columbus Blue Jackets are partnering with the American Red Cross Central Ohio Region for a fall blood drive! Hosted at the Front Street entrance of Nationwide Arena, donations will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Those who give blood will receive a pack of CBJ trading cards and be entered to win a photo autographed by a CBJ player.
